Synergym v2.46.3: Smarter dashboards, and a one-link way to invite your trainer
The situation
Opening Synergym used to mean landing on a dashboard that looked the same whether three clients needed attention or none did. And if an athlete didn't have a trainer yet, the only way to get one onto the platform was to tell them about it and wait.
This release changes both starting points.
A trainer dashboard built around what needs attention
The trainer dashboard now leads with a stat bar — active clients, active programs, active assignments, and anything expiring soon — followed by a dedicated Needs Attention panel.
That panel surfaces, in one place:
- assignments expiring within the next few days
- clients who haven't trained in a while
- clients without an active program
- invitations still waiting on a response
Each item links straight to the relevant client or assignment. If nothing needs attention, the panel says so plainly instead of leaving an empty space.
Below that sits a client overview table (current program, last workout) and a four-week expiry timeline, so a trainer can see who's coming up for renewal before it becomes urgent.
New trainers see a different first screen entirely — a short three-step Getting Started guide (create a program, invite a client, assign the program) instead of an empty dashboard.
Athletes can now invite their own trainer
Previously, an athlete without a trainer had no action to take inside Synergym. They had to tell their trainer about the platform separately and wait for the trainer to sign up on their own.
Now, an athlete with no trainer and no pending invitation sees an Invite your trainer card on the Invitations page. It generates a personal link they can copy or share directly through their phone's share sheet. Opening the link takes the trainer to a sign-up page that already shows who invited them — the two accounts connect automatically once the trainer signs up.
[!TIP]
The link is built into the empty state — there's nothing to set up first. It only needs an athlete who hasn't connected with a trainer yet.
Why it matters
A dashboard that points at what's actually wrong saves a trainer from re-checking every client just to find the one assignment about to lapse. And removing the ask your trainer to go find the app
step makes it realistic for an athlete to be the one who brings a trainer onto Synergym, instead of waiting on the trainer to discover it.
See you in the next release.
